Indore has never been short of places to eat. From Sarafa nights to Chappan Dukan, food is already part of the city’s personality. But the dining scene is changing too. New restaurants, cafés and social spaces are opening across Vijay Nagar, Narmada Square, Sapna Sangeeta, Rajiv Gandhi Square and Scheme 78  giving the city more reasons to venture beyond its usual favourites.

From South Indian comfort food and coffee runs to sports bars and contemporary restaurants, these are the new names to know.

THE FUSION CULTURE

The Fusion Culture takes the all-day dining route, moving between Indian favourites, Chinese, pizzas, burgers, sandwiches and coffee. In other words, one for the group that can never agree on what to eat. Its Vijay Nagar address puts it right in the middle of one of Indore’s busiest dining neighbourhoods an easy option for a casual meal or a long catch-up.

SAMBARINO

South Indian comfort food gets a new address at Narmada Square. Think dosa, idli, sambhar and the kind of familiar favourites that work just as well for a quick lunch as they do for dinner. Sometimes a good dosa is reason enough to make the plan.

VARUSA COFFEE

Another name joins Indore’s growing coffee culture. Varusa is built for the kind of café plans that don't need much planning morning coffee, an afternoon catch-up or a conversation that somehow runs into the evening.

This one is less about simply having dinner and more about making a night of it. A sports bar and club at Unity One Mall, Desco brings together food, cocktails, live sport and nightlife. Come for the match. Stay considerably longer.

Vijay Nagar’s dining circuit gets another contemporary addition with Corum.

Working for both daytime plans and evening dining, it has the kind of versatility that could turn a new opening into a neighbourhood regular.

SAGE

Sage takes things a little slower.

The setting lends itself to relaxed afternoons, coffee plans and casual meals  while its Sampat Farms location gives you a reason to look beyond Indore’s usual dining pockets.

KAFFIBAR

Another one for the coffee crowd. Kaffibar keeps things easy: coffee dates, quick catch-ups or a break from the usual restaurant circuit. And with Indore’s café culture growing quickly, Vijay Nagar clearly isn't done with coffee yet.

AHAARA

Ahaara gives Scheme 78 another neighbourhood dining option as the area continues to grow. It’s part of a larger shift across Indore: new restaurants are increasingly opening closer to where people live rather than clustering around the same established food hubs.

Dinner doesn't always have to be the main event.

The Taproom brings a brewery and nightlife format to Vijay Nagar, built around drinks, conversation and evenings that aren't expected to end after the first round. Another sign that Vijay Nagar has become as much a night-out neighbourhood as a dining one.
