Indore has never needed convincing when it comes to good food. But lately, something else has been making its way onto the table.

Sushi. And quite a lot of it.

From hotel restaurants to new-age Asian kitchens and sprawling bypass addresses, the city’s dining scene is looking increasingly eastward. Some places make sushi the reason to visit; others simply make it very difficult not to add a roll to the order.

The interesting thing isn’t simply that Indore has more places serving sushi.

It’s where it’s showing up  malls, hotels, destination restaurants and contemporary Asian kitchens across the city. Sushi is moving from the occasional order to something increasingly normal on an Indore night out.
