There’s nothing wrong with that. Mumbai’s dining scene is one of the best in the country. But reducing the city to reservations means overlooking everything else that makes it extraordinary.
Mumbai has always been a cultural city. One shaped by art, architecture, cinema, theatre, design, literature and communities that continue to redefine what urban life can look like. Its greatest experiences aren’t always found on a menu they’re discovered inside galleries, performance spaces, heritage neighbourhoods, creative studios and conversations that bring people together.
If we’re serious about positioning Mumbai as a global destination, tourism needs to celebrate more than its skyline and hospitality. It needs to champion the city’s cultural identity.
