In a world obsessed with what’s next, there is something increasingly appealing about things that ask us to slow down  to listen properly, dress for dinner, gather around a table and keep something because it is worth keeping.

Perhaps the real luxury is taking the time to do things properly again.

Polo — Sport, tradition and an afternoon spent properly outdoors.

Private Clubs — Familiar rooms, familiar faces and a slower way of socialising.

High Tea — An afternoon turned into an occasion.

Heirloom Jewellery — Pieces with a history, worn rather than simply kept.

Some traditions never really go out of style.

Maybe the appeal lies in what they offer us now: less noise, more ritual; less rushing, more time; fewer things, but better ones.
