There is a very specific kind of leg happening on stage right now. Sabrina Carpenter has it. Taylor Swift has it. Chappell Roan has it. Smooth, glossy and almost suspiciously perfect under the lights. And no, the answer isn’t body oil. It’s performance tights.
Performance tights have been around long before the current pop-girl wardrobe made us pay attention to them. They were designed for dancers and performers who needed support, coverage and something that would hold up under very unforgiving stage lights.
But take them offstage and suddenly that exaggerated shine starts to look a lot less like performance wear and a lot more like a styling idea.
